Little news announcement hear regarding Ban Appeals. I can't believe I've forgot to notify you all, but this cracker incident popped out at me.
From now on, regular users will not be allowed to comment or upvote/downvote posts in the ban appeals section. You will still be allowed to view ban appeals going on and be allowed to voice your opinions in different sections of forums or discord. Administrators of this website are allowed to comment on ban appeals but I would like to caution other administrators to comment when an action has taken place.
The reason I'm doing this is to clear up all the riff raff on recent ban appeal threads. They have become too political as of late and I want to stop community fights before they happen. By all means, I am guilty of this offense too, so that's why I'm not giving myself any exceptions.
There is one caveat though. As much as I have messed around with permissions, I cannot get OP's access to comment on their own ban appeal. This could be troublesome, but I did allow OP's access to edit their original post. Hopefully this will be enough to solve any communication barriers.
TL;DR: People can post ban appeal threads and view the forum section, but cannot comment on their own or other ban appeal threads. OP's will be allowed to edit their own posts though.
